All the News—21 Days
The “21 Days” in the title really refers to the number of days from the initiation of the land war in Iraq until the fall of Baghdad, but it also refers to the twenty-one days I extracted out of the larger timeline with these sheets from the New York Times.
Photographed by attaching them to my living room window and placing strobes on stands in the yard while I photographed from within, I find these images fascinating not only for the news content—reading old newspapers is always fascinating—but from the odd and interesting juxtapositions of the text and imagery on the front, combining with the (reversed) text and imagery showing through from the back.
